In the vast ecosystem of life, nature and humanity exist in an inseparable, close-knit bond. With its lush beauty, diversity in forms of existence, and the ability to transform with the seasons, the changes in nature, to some extent, can be seen as aligned with the emotional shifts of humankind.

For Devon, she pursues the concept of Biophilia, where the intrinsic connection between humans and nature is emphasized. Having lived and traveled across Europe for more than twenty years, witnessing some of the most majestic landscapes, Devon has come to understand the relationship between humans and the natural world on a deeper level. However, she also observes that this connection can easily be broken by even the smallest disruption. In her paintings, Devon intentionally captures the vivid, living beauty of creation. Alongside these, there are ceramic sculptures made from a fragile material, echoing the inherent delicacy of nature.

Meanwhile, Patricia embraces Naturalism, which highlights the pristine beauty of the natural world. Born and raised in Amsterdam, Patricia draws profound inspiration from the dreamy natural beauty of her homeland. She does not aim to depict the grandiose landscapes with meticulous detail or tidy up the magical scenes of seasonal transitions. Instead, she captures the subtle emotions her mind experiences in response to these wonders, using restrained symbolism and incorporating gold leaf combined with acrylic paint, creating an interaction between light and shadow in a multidimensional space.

Although Biophilia and Naturalism come from different starting points, they share the same ultimate goal: to guide humanity back to nature, as the need for connection with the natural world is undeniable and essential for humans.

The Biophilia and Naturalis exhibition, co-organized by Lotus Gallery and Audi Vietnam, will open at 18:00 on December 7, 2024, at the Audi Charging Lounge – 6B Tôn Đức Thắng, Bến Nghé, District 1. The exhibition is open to the public daily from 9:00 to 18:00, from December 8 to December 15, 2024.
