The first season of AbyA received enthusiastic attention from the architecture community as well as the audience, accompanied by significant achievements.
AbyA season 2 has officially started with a new look compared to season 1. The theme "Saigon O'clock" is introduced as a metaphor to draw people from all walks of life living in Saigon, whether for a short time or many years, to look at a common point: What does Saigon mean to us?
The noun "Saigon" is merely a figurative word, encompassing numerous events. It retains both shallow and profound emotions, excessively joyful moments with friends, reckless youth, or lessons that somewhat force people to mature quickly. And for architects, perhaps they are no exception.
Let's set aside the aspect of architects being the behind-the-scenes figures of Saigon's infrastructure projects, and don't hastily assume that if they were to depict Saigon, it would lack flavor. At AbyA, architects will be portrayed through the experiences of individuals who have been pampered or partially cold-shouldered by Saigon, setting aside technical aspects such as specialization, technique, structure... to be drawn with unrestrained emotions.
